Myriam Erdely is a Fine Art Appraiser & Advisor based in New York dedicated to offering art collectors excellent assistance in appraising art collections. With her passion and knowledge of the art world, she can help collectors navigate emerging markets and assist in all manner of art business.

Myriam Erdely is an Accredited Member of the Appraisers Association of America (AAA) specializing in Post-War, Contemporary Art and Emerging Art. She keeps up to date with current regulations and is Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) compliant through January 19, 2026.

She graduated from Concordia University's experimental Interdisciplinary Arts BFA program where she had the opportunity to work with an array of artists, performers and writers. Her course of study was completely self-designed; therefore she developed an abiding interest in and critical approach to contemporary art issues. After getting her start at the Casey Kaplan gallery in New York, Myriam fully immersed herself within the inner workings of the art world. Passionate about art and art business, she then worked with Muriel Quancard and Delphine Perru, at Opus Insiders, an art advising and appraising firm servicing clients from America and Europe. Afterwards, she assisted the late Frederieke Taylor, a Private Art Dealer and Collector, taking care to fully catalogue and manage her personal art collection. Since her passing in 2018, she has helped with her Estate and is now Associate of the FST StudioProjects Fund, a fund created by Frederieke Taylor to help artists fund their studio rents and support local art practice in New York City.

Myriam Erdely is also currently the Executive Assistant at a private art collection located in New York and operated by a group of collectors and investors involved in the acquisition and sale of contemporary art. There, she assists the Partners with art market information, auction and artist research, and manages offerings. She also prepares artwork sourcing lists and reports for upcoming art fairs. Throughout the years, Myriam has also held her own independent Appraising services and continues to work with appraisers and collectors as opportunities arise.
